Guterres, the Pope and Modi, López Obrador’s shortlist to agree on peace

Three leaders of global geopolitics were proposed by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to carry out his proposal to seek a trucewhich he made the day before, as a measure for the cessation of military confrontations and trade wars.

The Secretary General of the United Nations Organization (UN), Antonio Guterres; The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and Pope Francis are the personalities who, according to the president, would have the capacity and quality to lead this initiative.

During the morning yesterday, López Obrador was questioned about the idea that he had raised a day before, to reach a truce of at least five years in order for countries to recover from the effects of the pandemic, exacerbated by the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and which could be further complicated by recent tensions between China and the United States.

This step for global pacification would encompass all the nations of the world, but in particular it is aimed at three powers: the United States, Russia and China.

He explained that if his project is considered and the Pope, the head of the UN and the Indian leader agree to lead it, the work should focus on at least three central objectives: The first thing is to resolve Russia and Ukraine, immediately. And as in any negotiation, contribute so that the parties give in and stop that war.

A second point, he added, is that along with the negotiations to stop the armed conflict between Moscow and kyiv, this commission prepares the conditions for the truce and, with it, relax atmosphere in the world.

Thirdly, he pointed out, encourage all governments to dedicate themselves entirely to meeting the needs of their peoples. That is what I conceiveLópez Obrador remarked.

The idea is that all the governments of the world can dedicate ourselves to confronting the crisis that affects billions of human beings, who are being affected by the war, because they lose their lives, are displaced, are affected by economic crises, the food supply is affected , trade stops, the creation of jobs, the people are further impoverished. And hopefully the United Nations takes it up again, because it is the body in charge, responsible, of achieving peace and harmonizing everyone.
