“In the last week we have confirmed the death of four Venezuelan migrants in the Darién jungle and a refugee on the Bolivian border with Chile,” Smolansky wrote in his Twitter account. Twitter.
According to the National Migration Service of Panama, in the first five months of this 2022, 32,797 migrants have entered; of which 16,720 are Venezuelans. Only in May, detailed the agency 9,844 entered; that means that Venezuelan refugees represented 71% of the total.
