Graciela Bianchi the most accused in the attack on journalists

Within the framework of the International Press Day (see previous note from APU), which takes place in Punta del Este, it was the center of the meeting of thousands of journalists from different parts of the world to analyze the reality of the press in these conflictive times. .
The Reporters Without Borders (RSF) report indicated that Uruguay’s drop in freedom of expression fell 26 points, from 18 to 44 in the last two years, to which is added the number of journalists reported to justice for their investigations.
The disqualifying role of politicians and individuals towards journalists and the media was pointed out with no less concern. The nationalist senator Graciela Bianchi was one of those singled out for her disqualifying preaching through social networks. EL ECO is no stranger to negative preaching, there are even those who have invited subscribers to remove themselves from this medium. EL ECO has never responded to the attacks through the networks, but it has made complaints to press organizations and is part of the list of those affected by the debauchery of those who write disqualifications and insults.
The convention had its opening on Monday with the presence of the President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle, and will have its closing this Thursday, May 5.
