Yesterday, Tuesday December 27, Juan Graboisleader of the Movement of Excluded Workers (MTE) and part of the Frente de Todos, together with 80 people entered the territories bought by the British businessman, Joe Lewis, around Lago Escondido, allegedly fraudulently in 1996. They did so with the argument that they have the constitutional right to access said lake, which is in turn an important aquifer reserve.
After crossing the land fenced off by the English magnate, which should be freely accessible, Grabois and his companions arranged to set up a camp on said lands, until then, for an indefinite period of time. After clashes between Lewis’s “mobs” and sympathizers of the MTE leader, the camp was lifted after 24 hours in it.
Said camp carried the slogan: “The Malvinas are Argentine, Lago Escondido too”, Grabois added: “We are trying to reach Lago Escondido, patrimony of all Argentines, but only accessible to a privileged few.: the hierarchs of the judiciary, the security forces, the hegemonic media and politicians subservient to real power”.
This intervention on the part of supporter of the Front of All It occurs after several weeks, when the trip to Lewis’ ranch was made public by federal judges Julián Ercolini, Carlos Mahiques, Pablo Yadarola and Pablo Cayssials, as well as the Minister of Justice and Security of the City of Buenos Aires, Marcelo D’Alessandro, intelligence officials and directors of the Clarin Group. The conclave was allegedly to provide legal security to former President Mauricio Macri.
“I did not assault any woman”
