Government will exempt companies linked to tourism from employer contributions

The measure, announced by the Ministers of Labor and Social Security, Pablo Mieres, and Tourism, Tabaré Viera, will be applied during 2022 and will reach some 400 companies.

After the ministerial agreement with the President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle Pou, Mieres reported that yesterday it was resolved that travel agencies and tourist transport companies be exempt from employer contributions during 2022. The measure will cover approximately 400 companies and will represent a waiver of collection from the Social Security Bank.
