The federal government, through Banco do Brasil, will transfer R$ 7.7 billion to all states, the Federal District and 5,569 municipalities of the amount related to the collection of signing bonuses for the surplus auction for oil and gas exploration. from the transfer of rights in the Sépia and Atapu fields, in the pre-salt layer, according to information from the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
The amount will be paid from Friday (20) until next Tuesday (24).
THE auction was carried out by the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) in December 2021 and yielded a total signing bonus of BRL 11.1 billion. According to the ministry, the planned investments are R$ 204 billion.
Since 2019, eight oil and natural gas auctions have guaranteed investments of BRL 800 billion, with the expectation of creating more than 500,000 jobs.
