Government reports that former presidential candidate Paula Narváez will be ambassador to the UN

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonia Urrejolareported some ambassadors appointed by the President Gabriel Boric. Among the names is the former PS presidential candidate, Paula Narvaezwho will be ambassador to the United Nations (UN).

Before assuming the spokesperson for the second administration of Michelle Bachelet, Narváez worked as a program specialist for Latin America and the Caribbean at UN Women.

Fuentes holds a PhD in International Studies from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver. She currently works as an assistant professor in the Department of Peace Studies at Chapman University in California, United States.

Sebastian Kraljevich Chadwick He will take office at the Organization of American States (OAS) based in Washington DC. He has a degree in Sociology from the University of Chile and a Master’s degree in political management from the George Washington University.

While, Francisco Saffie Gatica He will be ambassador to the Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). He has a degree in Legal and Social Sciences from the University of Chile, a PhD in Law from the University of Edinburgh and a Master’s in Taxation from the University of Chile.

Likewise, the President appointed ambassadors to the following career diplomats: Manahi Pakarati NovoaGeneral Director of Ceremonial and Protocol; Carola Munoz OlivaChief of Cabinet of Minister Urrejola; Alex Wetzig Abdale, General Secretary of Foreign Policy; and Patricio Diaz Broughtondirector of the Middle East and Africa Division.

Foreign Minister Antonia Urrejola reported that other ambassadorial appointments are in the process of requesting approval from the recipient states.
