Industry Minister, Omar Paganini, announced that there will be an increase in public rates in January 2023and stated that “The government’s goal is to keep it below inflation.”
“It is in process, in that conversation that takes a while, it takes a few analyses”said the minister at a press conference held this Thursday.
Paganini valued that the 2022 will close with “favorable results” in UTE and Antelwhich could help a minor increase in the rates of these public bodies.
As to Ancap, The Minister of Industry explained that their numbers will be “rather even, perhaps (with) a little deficit.”
The president of Antel, Gabriel Gurméndez, announced this Thursday that the state entity will adjust its rate at the beginning of 2023after two years without changes, and it hopes to do so “below one year’s inflation.”
According to the hierarch, the state entity needs “adjust the rate to the costs” to “make the update” in an “inflationary” country and world. For this, he highlighted that Antel could “grow” and “lower” its costs”along with “traffic is exploding” and that the company need more competitiveness elements that would help meet the objective of increasing below inflation.
