President Louis Abinader assured yesterday that the Government will spare no effort to lower the cost of basic basketso that Dominican families with limited economic resources have access to food.
A note expresses that in a supervisory visit to a market of Inespre producers in San Cristóbal, the President indicated that as many measures as necessary will be taken to increasingly facilitate quality products at the lowest possible cost for the population throughout the country.
The president stated that, in addition to increasing the number of producers’ markets, mobile warehouses, sales of combos in supermarkets and Inespre’s regional fairs, the zero rate for the import of 67 products and their prices for loans.

This also includes farmers and financing for small and medium-sized companies, among other measures.
The director of the Special Fund for Agricultural Development (Feda), Hecmilio Galvanassured that president Louis Abinader it is the guarantee of food safety and prices in the country.
The statement was made by the official at the international seminar on “Perspective of rural development and food security”, organized by the Feda and the local office of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA).
The event, which is part of the activities carried out by the Feda on the occasion of the celebration of its 50th anniversary, was attended by the Minister of the Presidency, Joel Santosmembers of the Agricultural Cabinet and other government officials.
