Government delivers RD$47 million in Barahona

To contribute to the social and educational development of the South region, the Administrative Minister Jose Ignacio Beating gave RD$47 million to the Technological Catholic University of Barahona (Ucateba) and to the Diocese of this province.

A note says that the budget arranged by the president Louis AbinaderRD$39 million 439 thousand will be for equipping the new Monseñor laboratory building Rafael Felipe Núñez de la Ucateba.

While RD$8 million 502 thousand They will be for the completion of the home for the elderly in the Villa Central municipal district.

Indicates that the equipment of the Ucateba laboratories will impact the Schools of Hospitality and Tourism, Psychology, Nursingand will include the air conditioning of the three levels of the building.

Ignacio Paliza spoke about how much this work will contribute to the comprehensive preparation of students in Barahona.

While the rector of Ucateba, father Mark Perezand the governor Diones Gonzalezthanked the government for its contributions and the promptness with which it has attended to the needs of La Perla del Sur.

On the other hand, the Dominican government delivered the release certificate for an amount of RD$20 million of pesos to the Evangelical Council of the Assemblies of God, for the construction of the church that will also serve like a convention center.

The contribution was delivered in a brief act by the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, to the superintendent of the organization, Nersido Borg Cedenowho, expressing his gratitude, made a public commitment to the proper use of the donation.

“We want to bless President Luis Abinader, the ministers and other officials who accompany him, so that he continues to develop his work agenda, we ask for health and that God guard his day to day,” Cedeño added.
