The Bolivarian National Guard dealt a blow to international drug trafficking by detecting and seizing more than two kilos of cocaine that were intended to be sent to the United States from national territory.
The actions of Venezuelan officials made it possible to seize two kilos 418 grams of the drug manufactured in Colombia that was to be shipped by air to the state of Florida in the United States, via a DHL package.
It was learned that the cocaine detection process was carried out during the review of a set of shipments from the branch of this parcel company located in the Indio Mara sector of the Maracaibo municipality of the state of Zulia.
It was reported that a citizen who was allegedly responsible for processing the package was arrested and a vehicle and a cell phone were seized from him. The case was left in the hands of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
