During this day, a glider landed in an emergency on the bed of the Mapocho river in the Vitacura sector, Metropolitan region, which left one person with injuries.
This was confirmed by the Santiago Fire Department through its official Twitter account. It should be noted that the pilot of the aircraft was treated by emergency personnel and moved to a nearby care center.
The accident occurred between Guaraníes and Monseñor Escrivá de Balaguer streets, as far as around five fire companies arrived.
From the Vitacura Glider Club they informed through a statement that the Mapocho river box is a safe zone to land in cases of emergency.
