Given the demand for greater economic resources by the Dominican Society of Prosecutors, the senator for Puerto Plata, Ginette Bournigal and the Executive Vice President of the Institutionality and Justice Foundation (Finjus), Serbian Tulio Castaños GuzmánThey stated their position today.
For Bournigallegislator of Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM)the prosecutors’ request must be known internally and not externally.

“The prosecutors are organized, they have a council, they must manage internally and see how they agree. What happens to us if the governing body of society’s justice, which has to take care of us, is going to disagree outside, then we have no way of reaching an agreement and being able to move this country forward, “said the senator.
Meanwhile, the vice president finjus executivecalled on the National Congress to review the budget allocated to the judicial system and execute the amounts established by law.
“Hopefully, and on this occasion, Congress reviews that item and gives the justice system what corresponds to it by law, because at the end of the day it is a law that establishes the percentage that should be given to the Judiciary, to the Chamber of Accounts, the National Congress and the Public Ministry”, indicated Serbian Tullius.

The group of prosecutors warned that without greater resources the fight against corruptionimpunity and drug trafficking will be limited.
