The afternoon of this Monday, February 27, was a political movement at the headquarters of the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD), since the Vice President of the Republic, José Gabriel Carrizo, presented the credentials for his application that allows him to obtain the presidential candidacy in the primaries. of the collective on June 11.
Carrizo has been the first pre-candidate to present the documentation, Pedro Miguel González and Crispiano Adames are still missing, who revealed their intentions to be the standard-bearers for the 2024 elections. Both politicians have until March 8 to present the documents.
The Vice President of the Republic assured that “Here is a living PRD that is precisely willing to continue fighting for Panamanians but above all for those who need it most.”
Carrizo called for unity within the party and said that everyone’s help is needed (to reach the presidency in 2024).
The vice president was accompanied by the Minister of Health Luis Francisco Sucre and the deputy Raúl Pineda, among other supporters who met from 3:00 in the afternoon at the party headquarters and with slogans and music showed their support for Carrizo.
Deputy Pineda assured that “Gaby has an advantage, because the majority of the PRD support him” and stressed that “the only way for Gaby to demonstrate her leadership is by winning, and winning resoundingly.”
