“Future memories”, the premise in a new exhibition of the Fundación Texo Art Clinic

This Wednesday, May 3, the collective exhibition “Customs and Traditions” will be inaugurated, which brings together the works of thirty-nine artists under the curatorship of María Eugenia Ruíz. The appointment is at Casa Castelví of the Manzana de la Rivera Cultural Center, at 7:00 p.m. Access is free and free.

The main axis of the exhibition is based on highlighting some aspects related to customs and traditions, the way of being and doing of Paraguayans.

“The curator, through different themes and techniques, selected the works that make up this exhibition, such as paintings, sculptures, engravings, drawings, photographs, tapestries, objects and installations, these being located in the four exhibition rooms of Casa Castelví in the Manzana de la Rivera”words of the curator, María Eugenia Ruíz.

The curatorial script focused on those customs and traditions that come, on the one hand, from popular festivities, and on the other, on the observation of details that are typical of festivities such as the Christmas, Kuruzu Ára, Virgin of the Assumption, San Juan Ára, Caacupé, Tañarandyamong other.

“This exhibition, through these celebrations, enables viewers to feel part of the varied and rich customs and traditions of our country, from the originality of the works of the selected artists”says Ruíz.

The works that make up the sample are of Ferdinand AllenAna Carina Aranda, Mabel Ávila, Renata Ávila, Marcos Benítez, Adelaida Colmán, Mirian Chamorro, Gaby Díaz de Espada, Ida de los Ríos, Ricardo MigliorisiMaría Pía de Marco, María Gloria Echauri, Celso Figueredo, Martha García Linares, Mónica González, María del Carmen Haitter, Yuki Hayashi, Neri Iriberry, and Julia Isidrez.

The exhibition can be visited for a month, from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
