The Cabinet Council headed by the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen approved the extension of the price of a gallon of solidarity fuel to B/. 3.25 for 91 octane gasoline as well as diesel from July 16 to August 14 of this year.
This decision extends the effects of article 1 of Cabinet Resolution No. 60 of May 19, 2022, which temporarily stabilizes the price of fuel, with a contribution from the State up to the amount of B/. 10 million..
The extension of this subsidy represents a great effort and a fiscal sacrifice with the sole purpose of alleviating the high costs of products and services to the population in general, as well as the additional impulse to continue with the economic reactivation of the country.
With this measure, the National Government seeks to continue promoting economic growth in sectors such as agriculture, livestock, industry and tourism, among others, in addition to not increasing the price of the ticket for the population, as well as guaranteeing the generation of jobs and that Inflation in Panama remains among the lowest in the world.
