As it has been doing in recent weeks, the government will once again vary only the price of a gallon of avtur and it will leave the other fuels frozen. The one used in aviation will rise 12.14 pesos to be sold at 223.26 pesos.
The Vice Minister of Internal Commerce, Ramón Pérez Fermín, informed today that for the week of March 4 to 10 the government will continue to subsidize fuel “as far as possible” to keep the price of those for daily use by citizens stable.
He indicated that during the current week the closure of operations of the WTI oil per barrel in the markets oscillated between 75.39 dollars as the minimum value, and 77.69 dollars as the highest value quoted at the close of each day.
“Refined products continue to trade differently from the variations in WTI, mainly as a result of the ukrainian warwhich has significantly widened the historical gap between the price of crude oil and refined products, such as diesel and gasoline,” he said.
For next week the government assumes a subsidy close to the 223.3 million pesosthus once again containing the increases in regular diesel for 22.66 pesos, optimal diesel for 24.11 pesos, premium gasoline for 5.07 pesos, and regular gasoline for 7.95 pesos.
“We will spare no effort to maintain the stability of the local market and minimize the effects of the international price crisis, because we are thinking about the well-being of all, but with special emphasis on the less favored and on the national productive apparatus,” said Pérez Fermín.
