Likewise, regular diesel oil remains at 221.60 pesos per gallon, optimal diesel oil will continue to be dispensed at 241.10 pesos per gallon, avtur at 298.91 pesos per gallon and kerosene will remain at 338.10 pesos per gallon.
Also, the authorities announced that fuel oil #6 maintains its price at 192.11 pesos per gallon and fuel oil 1% will continue at 211.77 pesos per gallon.
In addition, the price of liquefied gas Petroleum (LPG) will remain at 147.60 pesos per gallon and natural gas will continue to cost 28.97 pesos per cubic meter.
The Dominican government for this week alone has allocated 1,765 million pesos to keep the prices of all fuels unchanged for the week of Saturday 18 to Friday 24 June of this year.
The Vice Minister of Internal Trade, Ramón Pérez Fermín, explained that the international price of WTI averaged 119.47 dollars, for a slight increase of 0.3 percent in relation to the average of the previous week.
“This gives us an accumulated increase of 50.4 percent for the year, reaching a price of a barrel of Petroleum at 130.50, numbers not seen since 2008, when the highest prices in crude oil history were recorded,” he said.
Pérez Fermín explained that this extraordinary subsidy avoids applying the mandatory increases of 7.24 for LPG, 96 pesos for premium gasoline, 103 for regular and 124 for regular and premium diesel.
“To prevent this from being transferred to households, the government once again contains 100 percent of the increases, at a cost of 1,765 million pesos, thus preventing citizens from being hit by a severe global crisis,” he said.
