The Vice Minister of Internal Trade, Ramón Pérez Fermín, reported this Friday that the price of avtur will register a rise of 12.38 pesos, going on to cost 276.78 pesos per gallon. Also, the kerosene will go to 313.40 pesos per gallon, after raising 12.70 pesos per gallon.
Fermín also pointed out that the Dominican government has decided that the fuel prices of popular use will remain unchanged thanks to an “extraordinary effort” of 1,160 million pesos, despite the accumulated increase so far this year 2022 of 37.2%.
Therefore, for the week from April 23 to 29, 2022, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes provides that premium gasoline maintain its price at 293.60 pesos per gallon; regular gasoline will continue at 274.50 pesos per gallon, also maintaining its price.
Instead, regular diesel will be shipped at 221.60 pesos per gallon and maintains its price. Optimum diesel will also maintain its price at 241.10 pesos per gallon.
Likewise, fuel oil #6 will remain at 192.11 pesos per gallon; fuel oil 1% will remain at 211.77 pesos per gallon; liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will continue to be available to the public at 147.60 pesos per gallon and natural gas will maintain its price at 28.97 pesos per cubic meter.
Fermín explained that the average for Texas oil remains above 105.12 dollars, for an increase of 6.5% compared to the previous week, with the war in Ukraine continuing to have a strong impact on the market.
“This scenario, complex and long, invites us to seek palliative solutions week by week. This time will be no exception. Consequently, and assuming the astronomical figure of 1,160 million pesos, we announce that the fuel prices they will remain unchanged”, said Pérez Fermín.
With this subsidy, the government would be preventing LPG from rising more than 15 pesos; that premium gasoline does it in more than 41 pesos; that the regular one does the same in more than 50 pesos; that regular diesel does it at almost 94 pesos and the optimal one at 93 pesos.
