Frustrated meeting of Mario Aguilera with Governor Camacho in Chonchocoro

The lieutenant governor of Santa Cruz, Mario Aguilera, tried to visit the governor Luis Fernando Camacho, in the Chonchocoro prison; but they prevented it. The second departmental authority tried, on two occasions, meet personally with Camacho; but in both entry was denied.

Taking into account that this Thursday was visiting day, the lieutenant governor came in the morning and was told that, due to health issues, Camacho could not receive visitors. So he came back in the afternoon, assuming he was already in his regular room and not where receive your medical treatment, but neither They allowed him in.

“Due communications were taken, the transfer of the place to his room to see if it was possible for him to receive us. So we will be there as soon as possible to talk with the governor,” Aguilera told local media.

Luis Fernando Camacho, Governor of Santa Cruz, guards preventive detention in Chonchocoro since December 30, 2022, accused of terrorism in the Coup I case. From there he continues to fulfill his duties as the first departmental authority.
