From this Monday the operation in the Bogota Air Bridge will be reactivated

Starting this Monday, December 6 the operation will be reactivated in the Air Bridge from El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá.

This was pointed out by the Civil Aeronautics, an organization that also recalled that the Air Bridge is managed by the concessionaire Opain SA

“The Civil Aeronautics is allowed to report that as of December 6, 2021 the Air Bridge of the El Dorado Airport in Bogotá will operate again,” the state agency said.

Aerocivil also indicated that, “20 flights of the Satena airline and ten flights of the Easyfly airline will operate from the Air Bridge facilities, which will link Bogotá with different regions of the country. “

“The Aerial Bridge will operate from five in the morning to eleven at night and will have a permanent connection service with El Dorado, through a circular bus route,” explained Aerocivil.

The agency indicated that said reactivation “will help to alleviate the national operation of the air terminal in the processes of boarding and arrival of flights.”

“This reopening is one more step in the process of reactivating members of Colombia that has already reached 85% of the level of operation that was had before the pandemic,” said Civil Aeronautics on the subject.

Challenge

And it is that more than one year since the air reactivation process started in Colombia, after the pandemic paralyzed that sector, for more than six months, and that also caused serious economic damage, both for airlines and tourism.

However, the authorities implemented biosecurity measures to face the challenge of regaining the confidence of users when boarding a plane, in fear of catching the covid-19.

As noted Santiago Álvarez, Executive Director of Latam Colombia, it was a great challenge for users to regain confidence in the airlines.

We had a very big challenge, which was to convey confidence to the passengers so that they would get back on a plane. We did that very well because we have seen how the market dynamics are working, “said the airline manager.
