The former mayor Francisco Fernández and the deputy Betty Gerónimo, led this Saturday a social assistance operation in the Paraíso de San Felipe sector of Villa Mella, in Santo Domingo Norte, which included the delivery of cooked food from the Economic Dining Rooms and a medical operation to charge of Ministry of Public Health.
Hundreds of people benefited from the health day, which included medical consultations and drug deliveries by staff from area three of the Ministry of Public Health.
In addition to social assistance, the residents of that area received a cooked food ration provided by the Economic Kitchens.
The women of that demarcation were also benefited with free hairstyles in a beauty salon cell phone that was at the scene.
Fernandez announced that, in the middle of this week, several trucks from the Price Stabilization Institute (INESPRE) will arrive in the area to sell food to the population at low prices.
The locals said they were satisfied with the rations and medicines delivered to the place.
Both Fernández and Gerónimo indicated that the operations are part of the aid plan for people with limited economic resources that the President of the Republic Luis Abinader has.
