Fourth dose vaccination against Covid-19 begins for immunocompromised individuals

This Monday begins the application of the fourth or second booster dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 for immunocompromised people, as detailed in the inoculation calendar published by the Ministry of Health and as announced by the President Sebastian Piñera January 6th.

From this Monday, the new inoculation will be applied to those immunocompromised who have received the third dose or booster dose until September 21, 2021.

For patients to prove their condition, they must present a prescription or certificate at the vaccination site.

Likewise, the inoculation schedule includes the following patients:

  • Dialysis patients (heme or peritoneum)
  • Solid organ transplant patients: heart, lungs, kidney, liver, pancreas.
  • Hematopoietic stem cell transplant patients.
  • Cancer patients undergoing treatment (radiotherapy, chemotherapy or hormonal therapy).
  • Patients with autoimmune diseases receiving biological or small molecule treatments.

Recall that from Monday, February 7, the new injection will be given to people 55 years of age or older who have received their booster dose until August 15, 2021.
