Four-story apartment building collapses in France, eight missing

A 4-story apartment building has collapsed in the city of Marseille, France, leaving five injured and at least eight people missing in the rubble.

After the building collapsed, a fire broke out, so the Firefighters came to collaborate in the rescue work and in extinguishing the fire.

The authorities have not found the cause of the collapse of the structure but indicated that the collapse of the building caused the partial collapse of the two adjoining buildings.

The mayor of Marseille, Benoit Payan, explained that two buildings shared walls with the one that collapsed, so it was necessary to partially demolish them.
