The ‘Tricolor’ did not go into details about the events that led to this suspension, due to which the four players will not be present in the Libertadores match against the Cerro Porteño Paraguayan this Thursday.

They will also not be able to compete in the League match that takes place this Saturday against Corinthians at the club’s stadium in São Paulo.

The acts of indiscipline occurred last weekend, when the team led by Fernando Diniz won 2-1 at Basque at the Maracana stadium. According to Brazilian media, the four players held a party with women at the team’s concentration hotel.

John Kennedy was the hero of Fluminense in last year’s Copa Libertadores, with a goal against Boca Juniors which led the Rio team to become champions for the first time in its history of the continental tournament.
