The National Directorate of Firefighters of Uruguay reported that this morning there was a fire in an apartment of the Complex Euskal Erría 71, Torre Ñ, located in Malvín Norte, in which 4 people were intoxicated.
In this sense, the fire completely affected a bedroom of apartment 002, but troops managed to contain the fire and prevent its spread. This fire caused a large concentration of smoke in the place, poisoning 4 people by carbon monoxide, who managed to evacuate themselves, later being assisted and transferred to medical centers.
The victims were 3 women aged 91, 67 and 26 and a 65-year-old man. On the other hand, the security guard was also treated for possible intoxication, resulting in no acute pathology, being discharged at the scene.
In addition, the evacuation of the inhabitants of the entire building was carried out, with the collaboration of police officers.
