Miners receive medical care at the Ramón de Lara hospital

Santo Domingo.- The two miners rescued this Tuesday morning after spending ten days underground in a mine in the town of Maimón, in Bonao, are being held at the Ramón de Lara hospital, in San Isidro, Santo Domingo Este, where they are cared for by a special medical team.

They are the Dominican Gregory Alexander Méndez and the Colombian Carlos Yépez Ospina, who were rescued from the mine located in the Los Cerros community of the Maimón municipality, northeast of the Monseñor Nouel province.

The Minister of Health, Daniel Rivera, is part of the medical team that carries out check-ups on the miners of the Dominican Mining Corporation (Cormidom) that lasted.

The rescue efforts were attended by the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, who offered the necessary support from the Government, so that the mine workers could be rescued alive.
