On the morning of this Friday, the Climate Risk Management Secretariat announced the status of the forest fires that occur in Cordova for several days now.
According to the official report, in the province Four fires remain active, for which the firefighters are working to combat the flames. Meanwhile, other fires in Cordova have been brought under control.
In this regard, Claudio Vignetta, secretary of Climate Risk Management of Cordova He explained: “The firefighters are working and in the early hours of this Friday the replacement of the personnel is carried out. Also, the overflight of the planes is awaited, with the first light of day, to be able to know more details”.
The agency detailed: “the fire that started in Huerta Grande moved to La Falda, Villa Giardino and La Cumbre.” However, “the risk of interface was controlled.” Despite this, the fire “continues to be active in the mountains towards the upper area of La Cumbre.”
Likewise, the fire in Embalse, in the La Cruz sector, remains active, which affects the Cañada de Sauce area. For its part, “in Traslasierra, La Paz, there is an active focus of 200 meters that is expected to contain during the morning with the action of a hydrant plane.”
In addition, in the department of Colón, the La Granja fire affects the mountain area, “with a front of approximately three to four kilometers in the direction of Estancia San Miguel.” Meanwhile, the fire in Tulumba managed to be controlled.
Although in some areas the fire has managed to become extinct, the authorities warn that they could restartfor which the affected areas are permanently monitored.
Fire alert continues
