The former President of the Government of Spain between 1996 and 2004, Jose Maria Aznar, visited Montevideo this week. Asked about how he sees the current reality of the country governed by Luis Lacalle Pou, Aznar responded with a phrase that he used to defend his management: “When I governed I said: ‘Spain is doing well’; Today I say that Uruguay is doing well”.
