Former President Martinelli does not rule out alliances with other parties or independents for the 2024 electoral contest

The former president of the Assembly José Muñoz, members of the Popular Party and Alianza met with the former president of the Republic Ricardo Martinelli, to discuss issues of national interest.

During the meeting, Martinelli, founder of the Realizing Goals (RM) party, said that although the meeting did not have political overtones, alliances are not ruled out, which help to solve the problems that afflict our country in the best way.

Muñoz also said that this approach was not to deal with political issues, nor to establish alliances, but to discuss issues such as the current situation of garbage collection, which in his opinion is “very worrying because it has not been given the necessary fund”, in addition to the lack of drinking water, a situation for which he proposes the construction of a water treatment plant in the Bayano River in order to improve the supply to homes.

Meanwhile, former President Martinelli called on current President Laurentino Cortizo to seek the best solutions for problems together and not be locked into politics at a time when “our country has a lot to solve and improve.”

The former president asked the current administration to continue the works that his government had abandoned and assured that it is an insult that after almost 8 years projects such as the Chitré market, the Colón hospital, and the Santa Fe hospital are hardly being delivered. in Darian, some Minsa-Capsi, as well as highways and many other projects that are on hold “due to the inability of all the previous governments.”
