Duarte Province.- In a massive act headed by the vice president and political coordinator of the People’s Force Radhamés Jiménez Peña, dozens of former PLD and PERM leaders were sworn in, who decided to abandon their respective political organizations and make common cause with the People’s Force, and Leonel Fernandez.
According to the resignants, their decision was due to the fact that the organizations to which they belonged no longer represent the best interests of the country, they lost the mystique and the reasons that gave rise to it.
They explained that the country needs the experience and knowledge of a man like Leonel Fernández, who will lead the nation with temperance and take it to a safe harbor in times of so much difficulty and uncertainty.
Among the sworn in, the councilor María Mercedes (Mao) stands out, from the municipality of Villa Rivas, who in turn held the position of vice president of the PLD, in that demarcation.
Together with María Mercedes, Juan Domínguez, Francis Contreras, Zuleika Corporán, Jenny Morales, Josefina Herrera, Víctor Antonio joined the People’s Force. Other sworn in were former PRM leaders: Ramón Sánchez, Lasseter Luna de Morel, Juan Antonio María, Javier Blanco Núñez, Eusebia Núñez Hernández, Miguel Ángel Mosquea Severino, among others.
The recently sworn councilor said that the only leader who has the conditions to get the country out of the current situation of calamity in which the PRM government has submerged it is Dr. Leonel Fernández, since he has the experience and international relations to change the course of the country.
The oath was taken by the Member of the Political Directorate of the People’s Force, Radhamés Jiménez Peña, who appreciated the decision of the newly sworn in, while thanking them on behalf of the president of that organization, Leonel Fernández.
“We feel highly satisfied with this activity, on behalf of ourselves and the president of the FP, Leonel Fernández, we want to thank you, and we assure you that you have made the best decision to be part of the People’s Force, an inclusive party, where if you they give their colleagues opportunities, and the work is rewarded based on effort and results” review.
In another sense, the former Attorney General of the Republic launched harsh criticism of the PRM government, assuring that the supposed government of change is the government of setback.
“The country has more than three million Dominicans who can barely eat once a day and that is unacceptable; Unemployment today is at its highest point, the high cost of living, insecurity and the general bankruptcy of the nation’s productive sectors have citizens on the verge of despair”, she inferred.
In the activity, Jiménez Peña was accompanied by the organization secretary of the FP, Bautista Rojas Gómez, as well as by: Carlos Quiñonez, Altagracia Rosa, Juan José Rosario, Berto Cabrera, Gregorio Hiraldo among others.
