A former domestic employee of the now former Minister of Housing, Irene Moreira (became a senator of Cabildo Abierto) received a home in a particular and differentiated way, according to what the newspaper published The country this Wednesday.
According to the records of the Social Welfare Bank (BPS), a woman who worked as a domestic employee in the former minister’s house received a house through the same unconventional way similar to the other case of the Cabildo Abierto militant. The woman worked at Moreira’s house from July 12, 2013 to July 10, 2014, according to her work history. In addition, he also worked for the Agrupación Nacional Herrerismo of the National Party from 2010 to 2013.
“Exceptional” deliveries of homes
In the MVOT documents, according to the aforementioned newspaper, it can be read that at least five benefits were delivered in an “exceptional” way through the “reservation of quota” mechanism that the minister on duty has.
The “access modality” was the same as that used in the case that led to the resignation of the lobbyist from the ministry: rent with the option to buy.
In the case of the former domestic employee, the house has two bedrooms and is described as a “nuclear home with a child under 7 years of age in charge. Total income $45,300. They do not present a default in clearing”.
The newspaper The Observer also reported last Sunday that a four-bedroom apartment, located in the city of Rivera, was delivered to a family of five people from another member of the Cabildo Abierto. Both Irene Moreira and her husband, Senator Guido Manini Ríos, defend the management in the MVOT and she affirmed that she would do the same again, denying any irregular or illegal act.
