Former consul and Foreign Ministry cross complaints about alleged irregularities

The former honorary consul of Bolivia in Kiev, Ukraine, Vladimir Tordoya and the Bolivian Foreign Ministry have crossed complaints about alleged irregularities in the last hours.

Through a letter addressed to President Luis Arce, the diplomat assured that there are acts of corruption in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The response was immediate and through an official statement, the Foreign Ministry “categorically denied such assertions.”

“The Bolivian Foreign Ministry informs that after having detected a series of irregularities in the honorary representation of Mr. Tordoya, such as the issuance of visas without complying with the guidelines issued by this Entity, the termination of his functions was determined on November 4, 2021, in accordance with current regulations”, reported the Foreign Ministry.

The State portfolio pointed out that “currently these facts are being investigated by the corresponding instances, in order to determine the degree of responsibility that corresponds.”

In this context, he reiterated his commitment to fight against corruption.
