The Argentine winger and former Boca Juniors player, Oscar Junior Benítez, signed for Atlético Palmaflor. The club and the president of the institution that represents the Cochabamba tropics, Evo Morales, welcomed him on their social networks.

“Very happy and hopeful with the signing of Oscar Junior Benítez, an Argentine striker who will wear the Palmaflor jersey in the Copa Sudamericana. Welcome brother Junior to the Cochabamba Tropics and to Bolivian soccer!” Morales posted on Twitter.

Benítez, who will arrive in Bolivia in the next few hours, will exclusively play the Copa Sudamericana, because for the local championships, the quota of foreign players is already complete.

Palmaflor will play the first phase, of direct elimination and in a single match, against Blooming on February 9 (18:00) in Santa Cruz. In case of advancing in the South American, Benítez will continue to be part of the team led by Claudio Daniel Brizuela.

Benítez comes from being inactive throughout 2022. His last official match was with the Atlético Tucumán shirt against Colón, on December 3, 2021.
