Forensic psychologist, Lesbia González: ‘Domestic violence occupies almost the first place of crimes in the country’

According to data from the Public Ministry, so far this year there have been 290 homicides, but what is the profile of a murderer? And what can be done to prevent these acts of violence and reduce the numbers in the country? We talked about it this Tuesday with the forensic psychologist, Lesbia González, who affirmed that the genesis of our problem of violence is because it begins in the home.

“Domestic violence occupies almost the first place of crimes in the country, along with sexual crimes. We are producing outside, people with violent profiles who are full of frustration, hatred, anger and who do not know how to handle them and pour them out. over others,” he explained.

The expert indicated that of five houses, three experience domestic violence. “People think that violence is only when you hit, violence is also verbal, psychological, emotional, sexual, economic, etc. If you are living in an environment of so much stress there is a hormone that is highly activated called cortisol, it’s like a poison and it begins to affect the system and what the body does is that it survives in the face of this macabre stress and one aspect of survival is to eliminate what harms or affects me,” he said.
