The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Félix Plasencia, arrived in Nicaragua this Friday to strengthen integration ties between Caracas and Managua.
“Fulfilling instructions from Pdte. Nicolás Maduro arrived in Managua, the capital of the Republic of Nicaragua, with the aim of strengthening the ties of integration and cooperation between our peoples and governments,” he said on Twitter.
On March 22, Plasencia received the style copies of the new Nicaraguan ambassador in Caracas, Orlando José Gómez.
Venezuela and Nicaragua have strengthened their bonds of friendship and cooperation after the arrival of Hugo Chávez and Daniel Ortega to power.
As a sign of the relationship with Venezuela, the Nicaraguan National Assembly declared May 15 as the Day of Friendship between both nations.
