Through a statement, the Foreign Ministry reported that the Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, met with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergei Vershinin, to ratify “his commitment to unite efforts before the UN multilateral organizations.”


Foreign Minister Yván Gil met with representatives of Russia, Syria, Balu and other countries allied to the Maduro government. The foreign minister took advantage of the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) that is taking place in Baku.

With Sergei Vershinin, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, he discussed aspects of the bilateral agenda and cooperation in multilateral platforms such as the UN. “In the framework of the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) that is being held in Baku, we met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergei Vershinin, with whom we evaluated issues on our bilateral agenda,” he tweeted. the head of Venezuelan diplomacy.

Through a release reported that Venezuela and Russia “ratified their commitment to join efforts before the UN multilateral organizations.”

Gil also met with his Palestinian counterpart, Riad Malki, to whom he expressed his “support for the Palestinian people who are resisting increasingly ferocious attacks with which they seek to plunder their lands.”

He also detailed that he held a meeting with the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, Sheikh Salem Abdullah Jaber Al-Sabah. He indicated that they spoke “about the future of cooperation between our nations in the framework of the recovery of the Venezuelan oil and gas industry.”

The diplomat pointed out that he also spoke with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, Narayan Prakash Saud, about the ties of friendship and the importance of strengthening international solidarity.

“In a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine, Dr Riad Malki, we worked on our bilateral agenda and expressed our support for the Palestinian people who are resisting increasingly ferocious attacks with which they intend to plunder their lands,” he added.
