The last report of the Dane Social Pulse survey for November showed that in said month people who eat less than once a day decreased for a percentage of 0 compared to 0.2% for the same period in 2021.

Likewise, it showed that 1.3% of Colombians eat only once a day, 25% eat twice and 73.8% eat three times a day. This last criterion increased 4.6 percentage points compared to November 2021.
This increase in meals per day has been progressive throughout the year. By January 2021, 25.4% of the population ate only twice a day and 72.4% three times.
The cities with the most households consuming three meals a day are Quibdó, Cúcuta and Barranquilla. Those with the least population with this consumption dynamic were Cartagena, Sincelejo and Montería.

It should be noted that although the figures improved compared to November 2021, in previous months there was a better record regarding food security in the country. For example, in May, 77.3% of the population had access to three meals a day.
The above, because November was one of the most critical months during 2021 due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Finally, it is important to note that although the Dane report 0% of people who eat less than 1 time a day, According to the Association of Food Banks of Colombia, Abaco, there are communities in the country that do not eat for several days.

These populations are concentrated in La Guajira and Chocó, where cases of malnutrition increase together with the deaths of children from this cause.
