Conviasa will be the first airline to fly to Colombia, as announced by the Minister of Transport, Ramón Velázquez, who stressed that it will be carried out under the charter modality.
Transportation Minister Ramón Velázquez reported that flights between Venezuela and Colombia will begin on September 26, under the charter mode. In this sense, he stressed that they are working in the workshops, “we are going to start with Conviasa on September 26, however, the range is open for all Venezuelan airlines.”
Velázquez expressed that it will be carried out in a spaced manner, “we want everyone to fly. We need several representatives of the sector to guarantee an economic ticket and good quality”. The statements were issued in an interview for Unión Radio.

The Transport Minister also pointed out that Iran and Venezuela have always maintained a close relationship in the area of air and water transport. “We get a lot of supplies through Iran, the companies that do maintenance on planes,” he said.
He expressed that thanks to the Iran-Venezuela Scientific, Technological and Industrial Fair, they have been able to make agreements with businessmen, “the government sector plays an important role because from Conviasa we are going to promote this alliance with these maintenance companies.”
