Flight Madrid-Santiago landed in Asunción due to a medical emergency of a passenger

This morning a Boeing 787-8 from Latam Airlines landed in our countryfor an urgent medical attention need of a passenger, as confirmed by the head of Dinac, Douglas Cubilla, in an interview with radio Universo 970 – Nación Media.

The patient was first assisted by airport health officials and later transferred in an ambulance to the San Jorge Hospital, where she is hospitalized.

Dr. Fabiola Rodríguez, medical director of said hospital, confirmed to the same station that the A 26-year-old man was admitted with respiratory distress due to a pulmonary embolism. They are practicing several studies.

The flight that arrived with 213 passengers departed again for its original final destination, Santiago de Chile, after refueling.
