From the Ministry of the Environment, the Environmental Control Brigade (BCA) carries out rescue tasks for the wild fauna that survived the forest fires in currents.
This in order to provide them with medical assistance and then relocate the animals in areas of the province that were not incinerated, since the fire managed to destroy almost a million hectares in currents.
In addition to carrying out rescue work, the delegation also seeks to know what was the environmental impact caused during the igneous emergency in currentsbecause for now the amount of affected flora and fauna is unknown.
Some of the species that have been rescued are the curiyú (Eunectes notaeus), the deer, the capybara and the alligatorwhich are initially transferred to the town of Santo Tomé, where the BCA is located.
In addition, the brigade has worked together with the Red Cross and the Army to support both the animals and the producers affected by the forest fires.
For this reason, two 70 cubic meter rafts were also delivered to collect irrigation water in the municipality of San Miguel; in addition to supplies for the assistance of animals in the Loreto fire station.
This Saturday there will be a national collection for the victims in Corrientes
Channel 9 and IP Noticias invite all citizens to participate in a large collection in favor of those affected by the forest fires in the province.
The day will be held through a special broadcast between 12:00 and 18:00. The donations will be for both animals and people, as well as to support the brigade members.
Among the items that can be donated are: non-perishable food, beds, mattresses, blankets, towels, clothing, balanced food for small animals and veterinary products.
Also fireproof clothing, individual backpacks and helmets. All items can be delivered to Zapiola 51 in the City of Buenos Aires.
