In order to continue promoting academic research, the Association of Banks of Peru convenes the second Economics and Finance Research Contest in homage to Renzo Rossini.
This initiative convenes at the national level people with a postgraduate degree or with postgraduate studies in progress, in the careers of Economics, Administration or related sciences. Participants may submit a research proposal related to macroeconomics, monetary policy, and finance.
Applicants must submit a research proposal of up to 5 pages that includes the Topic, Objective, Relevance and Methodology. In this second year, it is suggested to the contestants that the topics they present are also related to economic development.

Applicants may submit their proposals until October 15 and the winner will be announced on November 2 of this year.
This is the second edition of this award, which seeks to promote research on issues related to promoting the progress of the country’s economy; and at the same time pay homage to the respected economist and professor who had an outstanding career at the Central Reserve Bank. In the first edition, launched in 2021, the winners were Jorge Pozo and Youel Rojas, for their research “Financing Imbalances and Heterogeneous Effects of Monetary Policy.” The investigation is now available to the public on the website of the Association of Banks of Peru.
The winners of the current call will be selected by an independent jury convened by the Association of Banks of Peru, which will evaluate the research projects. The winning project will receive a prize of US$15,000 (fifteen thousand US dollars) for the development of said project. The Association of Banks is committed to its subsequent dissemination.
