The long holiday for Fiestas Patrias is a good opportunity to travel and get to know the destinations that Peru has to offer. For this reason, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) offers five suggestions for a safe trip:
1. FORMAL SERVICES. It is essential to hire formal tourist services. To do so, interested parties can enter the National Directory of Qualified Tourist Service Providers of Mincetur, located on the web portal https://www.gob.pe/minceturThe directory provides information on the information declared by tourist service companies to the competent authorities. The platform displays the address, telephone number, email address and website of the tourist company you wish to hire.
2. VISIT “WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS?” The ¿Y tú qué planes? platform from Promperú provides detailed information on travel offers and tourist packages to destinations throughout the country. To review them, those interested should enter the website https://www.ytuqueplanes.com/ .
3. CONDITIONS OF SERVICE AND PROOF OF PAYMENT. You must ensure that the contracted travel and tourism agency specifies the conditions of the service. That is, they detail places, times and services included. In this sense, proof of payment must be required when contracting any tourist service. Remember that this will help in making any subsequent claim.
4. TOURIST ATTENTION. If you have any inconvenience, do not hesitate to call IPERÚ’s tourist service at (01) 574 8000, write to WhatsApp 944492314 or email [email protected].
5. TOURIST SECURITY. Those interested can access the Tourist Police Peru application, which can be downloaded on cell phones (Google Play Apps). Also, in case of any emergency, you can coordinate with the Tourist Police – Poltur (cell phone 980122335); as well as by email [email protected] .
TOURIST MOVEMENT
As we recall, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Elizabeth Galdo, announced that the long holiday for Fiestas Patrias would exceed expectations and would mobilize around 1.7 million visitors nationwide, generating an economic impact of US$ 200 million.
He added that Mincetur has been working hard to increase the flow of tourists with important work in promotion, investments, among others, always in coordination with the three levels of government and the private sector.
