President Alberto Fernández was treated shortly after midnight on Tuesday (time in Argentina) by health personnel for an episode of hypotension and dizziness suffered at the G-20 Summit in Bali, Indonesia.

The statement from the Presidential Medical Unit indicates that “On this day, the President of the Argentine Nation, Dr. Alberto Ángel Fernández, suffered an episode of hypotension and dizziness.”

“For this reason, it was decided to carry out the rigorous diagnostic studies in order to preserve his health and avoid complications,” indicates the report signed by Dr. Federico Saavedra.

“This team will keep public opinion informed of the medical evolution of the President of the Nation,” the letter completes.

Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero replaced him at the G-20 Summit in Bali.
