Prosecutor Marcelo García de Zúñiga investigates the femicide of which he was a victim Maria Selva Cano (30) in Mbuyapey, where the alleged perpetrator is her ex-boyfriend, Antonio Aponte, who was later hospitalized for the injuries he sustained while trying to commit suicide.
Aponte is in a state of observation, with police custody and a court order for his arrest.

The tragic event involved a total of three people. In addition to the deceased and the perpetrator, he also appears Jorge Daniel Britos Pintos (28), who was the current couple by Maria Selva.
The man could not bear the terrible news of the murder and upon finding out, decided to commit suicide a few blocks from the place.
The case occurred on Monday afternoon, at approximately 5:00 p.m., in the Itatí neighborhood of Mbuyapey, Paraguarí department.
