Sexist violence already has pandemic status, they warn.
Women’s Rights activist Liliana Zayas pointed out that the wave of femicide cases already has pandemic status, since it is a phenomenon that is spreading throughout the world.
It indicated that Paraguay is no stranger to the drama, and that facing it will imply a high percentage of education at all levels and strata of society.
“It already has the scope of a pandemic, and unlike others, the vaccine to deal with it is education. I hope that in Paraguay we will not get used to this. to this extreme violence against women”he redialed at 730 AM.
He pointed out that in our country, the problem is increased by macho concepts and practices that persist in society. And that is internalized by families that replicate the error of considering the woman as an indication that she belongs to the men.
“The problem is when we don’t educate, we blame the victim, society as a whole follows gender stereotypes,” Zayas added.
The expert pointed out that the proprietary conception that women have in society determines that many men consider that they can subject their partners to abuse.

“The assumption of supremacy of all that is masculine is revealed, and the subordination of women. That feeling of ownership, of inequality, which is contrary to the National Constitution, ”she said.
He added that in addition to feminicide, sexist violence also acquires other modes of manifestation.
“Sexual harassment subsists, since the regulations say that certain budgets must be given to be investigated, we are still trying to minimize the facts that half of the country’s population suffer,” he said.
