The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Felix Cheroruled out that the head of the Ministry of the Interior, Dimitri Senmacheis going to resign from his position before the motion of censure against him that will be debated this Thursday in the plenary session of Congress.
Chero assured that the entire cabinet and the prime minister, Aníbal Torres, support Senmache. In addition, he pointed out that the alleged acts imputed to him by Parliament only respond to a political issue and not to a legal issue. One of them is due to the escape of former Minister Juan Silva.
“The minister has the full support of the team, the cabinet, the Council of Ministers and our premier. There is no express statement that the minister is going to resignfor the simple reason that the acts of imputation, beyond having a legal content, only respond to an eminently political content”, he told the press after the session of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday.

The head of the Ministry of Justice also emphasized that the Legislature has the right to present these political control measures, but urged that they carry them out with support and foundation.
“It is legitimate for Congress to carry out this type of act, but we have been invoking that they be rational, supported and grounded acts, because the breakdown of a democratic State and the breakdown of the unity of the Executive cannot be generated with this type of censorship”, he pointed out.
Then the Minister of Culture, Alexander Salasasked the congressmen to make a responsible decision during the debate on the motion of censure against Dimitri Senmache.
“I believe that it is important that tomorrow the responsibility prevails in evaluating correctly, with reasonableness and proportionality, what it would mean to censor a Minister of the Interior”, he stated.
