From this August 5 and until next Sunday 7, in the City of Buenos Aires the eleventh edition of the Publishers Fair FED’22 which, this year, will have special national and international guests.
The event It will take place at the Art Media Complex, an artistic-cultural site located in the Chacarita neighborhood of Buenos Aires. The new edition of the Publishers Fair It can be visited from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and admission will be free and free.
For this new version, the Publishers Fair will have the participation of 280 seals, and international guests such as Peter Orner, Leslie Kern and Margo Glantz; in order to offer a unique experience to readers.
During the event, national and international authors will also be presented and face-to-face and virtual talks will be held, since, after the coronavirus pandemic, the fair incorporated its activities in digital format.
This year’s international guests include, among others, the Scottish writer and journalist Tim Maughan (1973), who, through fiction and non-fiction, explores themes linked to cities, social classes, technology, culture and the future.
In addition, there will be the Mexican author Margo Glantz, who has written and published more than 30 essay and narrative books, among which the following stand out: “Las genealogías” (1981), “Syndrome of shipwrecks” (1984), “El texto find a body” (2020), among many others.
As for national authors, there will be the writer and journalist Luisa Valenzuela and the writer, critic and editor, Luis Chitarroni. In addition, there will be dialogues with writers such as María Negroni, Betina González and Eugenia Almeida.
Programming Highlights
In person, this Friday the 5th at 7:30 p.m. the talk will take place: “The emotion of ideas: about the essay as a literary practice today“. They talk: Eugenia Almeida, María Negroni and Betina González.
On the other hand, within the virtual activities that the event highlights, on Saturday at 5:00 p.m., the conversation between Jazmina Barrera, Vanessa Londoño and Lorena Salazar Masso, who will talk about Latin American authors.
