FCS assures fuel subsidy becomes unsustainable and is creating more indebtedness

Santo Domingo.- The president of the Civic and Social Front, Isaías Ramos assured today that the subsidies provided by the government to fuels they become unsustainable, but they are also creating more indebtedness.

“The only thing these subsidies are doing is creating more indebtedness to the point that even future generations will be affected. This is already unsustainable,” she noted.

He said that the government must provide support with these resources to the producers, who are screaming to heaven, due to the abandonment of the State.

“Our fields have been forgotten by the government. What President Luis Abinader should do is subsidize the food of the Dominican people with these resources, supporting the producers,” he said.

Ramos indicated that if the government continues with its indifferent gaze towards the producers, it could bring serious consequences to the Dominican people.

“The State must start planting the country with corn, sorghum and peanuts to guarantee edible proteins and fats to this people who could suffer serious consequences if measures are not taken in these circumstances that humanity is experiencing,” he said.

According to data from the Ministry of Finance, so far in 2022 the government has stopped receiving 18 thousand 968 million pesos that it has assumed with the fuel subsidy.
