In the final stretch of the face of Father’s Day, the main commercial poles are preparing for last-minute purchases

They say that Uruguayans leave everything to the last minute and gifts are no exception. That is why in the last hours of Father’s Day —to be held next Sunday, July 9— businesses are preparing to meet this final demand.
In the center of Montevideo from this Thursday and throughout Friday the Day of the Center is carried out.
The shopping tour enables free parking and also a special day of discounts is added on Saturday, July 8 in affiliated stores. To identify the stores that adhere to Día del Centro, look for a poster in the store, or consult directly with them, they can also be seen in a list on their website.
Malls
Shopping centers offer a variety of proposals depending on which one it is. Some keep their regular hours, such as Nuevocentro Shopping, Costa Urbana, Tres Cruces and Portones Shopping. The traditional schedule is from Friday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. In the case of Las Piedras Shopping, the opening is at 11 am.
While other shopping centers decided to extend the hours to promote sales on this business date. This is the case of Punta Carretas Shopping on Saturday will be extended until 11:00 p.m.. The same is true of Montevideo Shopping, which will close its doors at 11 p.m. on Saturday.
